
Laundering care instructions for each of the fabrics that we offer.
Banjo, Premier, Premier PRO, Economy Non-FR, Elite Poly Commando, and Faux Burlap:
- Never expose fabric to heat above 140°F during any portion of washing, drying, or ironing.
- Excessive heat can shrink the fabric significantly and/or shock the fabric into retaining permanent wrinkles.
- Machine wash like colors only, in cold water using a gentle cycle.
- If detergent is used, add only a mild liquid detergent to the water before putting the fabric in the machine.
- Do not apply a concentrated detergent directly on the fabric, as this may alter the color.
- Never use soap, bleach, or fabric softeners.
- May be dried in a conventional dryer using an air only setting.
- If ironing is needed, use only a cool setting.
10.2 oz. Velour, 15.5 oz. Velour, and 24.5 oz. Velour:
- Never expose fabric to heat above 140°F during any portion of washing, drying, or ironing.
- Excessive heat can shrink the fabric significantly and/or shock the fabric into retaining permanent wrinkles.
- Machine wash like colors only, in cold water using a gentle cycle.
- If detergent is used, add only a mild, non-chloride detergent, adding it to the water before putting the fabric in the machine.
- Do not apply a concentrated detergent directly on the fabric, as this may alter the color.
- Never use soap, bleach, or fabric softeners.
- May be dried in a conventional dryer using a low heat setting.
- Do not dry clean. Do not iron.
Sheer Voile and Poly Satin:
- Machine wash cool on a Delicate / Gentle cycle.
- If needed, use only a gentle detergent, preferably one designed for delicate fabrics.
- Tumble dry on low heat, using a Delicate / Gentle cycle if available.
- If there is not Delicate / Gentle cycle for drying, you can also hang to dry (not in direct sunlight).
- For ironing, use low heat and light steam. It is always suggested to test on an inconspicuous area first.
Commando (cotton):
- Commando drape is NOT machine washable. This fabric should never be washed or spot treated with any liquid or detergent.
- Washing Commando fabric will ruin the nap (fuzzy felt/suede side) and will wash out the topically applied FR treatment.
- Clean lightly using a soft brush only, when needed.
- Professional dry cleaning can be done, however the fabric would need to be retested for flame resistance, and may possibly require retreatment after dry cleaning.
Custom Color Drapes, Custom Printed Drapes, and Custom Dye Sub Printed Banners:
- Never expose fabric to heat above 140°F during any portion of washing, drying, or ironing.
- Excessive heat can shrink the fabric significantly and/or shock the fabric into retaining permanent wrinkles.
- Machine wash Cold, using only very mild detergents (if needed).
- If detergent is used, add only a mild liquid detergent to the water before putting the fabric in the machine.
- Do not use bleach. Do not dry clean.
- Tumble dry on low heat and remove promptly when dry.
- If steaming is required, use only the low setting.
Clear Vinyl:
- Hand wash using a mild soap and water solution (DO NOT use any abrasive soaps or cleaners).
- Dry by wiping with a clean, dry cloth.
- Do not iron.
Flame Retardant Notes To Consider When Laundering:
- Banjo, Sheer Voile, Elite Poly Commando, and all Velours are IFR. These fabrics will retain their FR characteristics no matter how many times they are washed.
- Premier and Premier PRO fabrics are DFR and have been tested to retain its flame retardant characteristics up to 25 washes (for Premier) or 10 washes (for Premier PRO).
- Poly Satin and Faux Burlap are topically treated (FR), and will retain flame retardancy for up to 5 washes.
- Commando (cotton) is topically treated (FR), but should never be washed. Washing Commando will wash out the FR treatment.
- Economy Non-FR drapes are NOT flame retardant.
