Quickly and easily create a free standing pipe and drape set-up with a 3 foot height that is perfect for crowd control and the creation of aisles.

This 3 foot tall x 10 foot wide pipe and drape kit includes:

Qty 2: B106 - 3 foot tall fixed height 1.5 inch diameter silver (or black, with upgrade) slip-fit upright with silver cap on top

Qty 2: B507 - 8 inch x 14 inch silver (or black, with upgrade) steel slip-fit base -- approx. 6 lbs. each with included 3 inch tall base pin

Qty 1: B402 - Adjustable 6-10 foot wide silver drape support rod / crossbar

Qty 4: D101 - 34 inch high x 48 inch wide Banjo drape with 4 inch rod pocket sewn into top and bottom (total drapes provide approx. 60% fullness when support rod is fully extended)

NOTE: Drapes are sewn 2 inches shorter than 3 feet tall to avoid dragging on the floor. The drapes are not pre-pleated; they are sewn flat and are gathered by hand on the Support Rod.

Banjo drape is Inherently Flame Retardant (IFR) and meets the requirements of the NFPA 701 fire code.

100% Polyester drapes are machine washable and dryer safe (see Laundering tab for details).

This lighter weight material has a semi-sheen and features an irregular thread pattern throughout. There is a brighter sheen (almost a "sparkle") at the portions where the threads are the thickest.

Drape opacity is approximately 50% - 60% light blocking. This range is an estimate only, for normal / standard lighting situations. Many factors can affect the opacity of a fabric, including where it is being used (near a wall vs. dividing the middle of a room), light sources, and the amount of fullness in the material (the amount of bunching / gathering).

This pipe and drape kit will ship in multiple boxes. The approximate size and weight of each individual item is listed under the SPECS tab.

Optional upgrades to your pipe and drape kit include:

-Have Black uprights and bases (if this option is not selected, the default color for both is silver)

-Add DuraTop to your upright pipes (click to learn more about the benefits of DuraTop uprights).

-Add Edge Protecting to your bases to help better protect your hands and the floor.

To extend your width beyond the 10 feet included in this package -- to create a longer linear span, make right angle turns, etc. -- please see our Connecting Extender Package in the "Related Items" below.

Using the screw located in the bottom of the base pin, push the threaded screw through the bottom of the base (the screw head should rest against the flat part of the base, not the raised counter-sunk part).

Then, screw the base pin onto the base (the base pin goes on the raised portion).

Tip: For maximum stability, we recommend using the center hole for your base pin.

Step 2: Place the upright pipe over the base pin

Our Slip-Fit Uprights are hollow, so putting them onto the base is easy! Just slide the upright over the pin.

Tip: Make sure that the "top slots" -- located right near one of the ends of the upright -- are at the top when you put it on the base. If you put the upright upside down (where the top slots are put over the base pin), then you won't be able to use the drape support rod.

Step 3: Put the drapes on pipe and drape support rod / crossbar

Using the sewn-in pole pocket on your drape, "sleeve" the drape(s) onto the drape support rod.

Step 4: Place the support rod hook end into a slot in the upright pipe

Now that your drape is on your drape support rod, place the hook end of the drape support rod into one of the open slots on the upright.

Tip: Have both of your uprights set up and in place so that each hook end of the drape support rod has a home.

Step 5: All done! Now you have a fully assembled Pipe and Drape Backdrop

You're all done! In less than 10 minutes you now have a pipe and drape backdrop. For an extra tip, continue reading below.

Extra tip - Making sure your spacing is correct:

Once you have the base pin on your bases (Step 1), take the drape support rod, set it to the width that you would like, and carefully place it on the floor. Then put a base at each hook end -- where each hook end is lined up to where each base pin is located.

This helps you check that your spacing is correct before you've already put your drapes on the support rod.

If you want to double check, put your uprights over the base pin (Step 2) and hook the support rod into the lower slots (if available; not all uprights have lower slots). Check to see if it is properly spaced, and then proceed to Step 3.
